Pick up from the hotel, departure to Ambositra. Stop at Ambatolampy to visit a workshop based on recycling aluminum, bronze for different kitchen utensils… lunch en route. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Departure from Ambositra for 1h 30m drive to Antoetra where we will start hiking in Zafimaniry territory. After meeting with our porters and local guide; we start hiking to the village of Sakaivo, 3 hours from Antoetra. Installation in Zafimaniry house on arrival, visit of the village, dinner and overnight.

Morning excursion from Sakaivo to the great waterfall Fanandrana which is 2 hours walk,by crossing a wooden bridge. We stay for a moment to enjoy the view and a picnic lunch. Return to Sakaivo then continuation to another village during the afternoon. Settling in the village. Dinner and overnight

Full day walk from Antetezandrotra to Faliarivo a village built on a hill. Going through Vohitrandriana and the mountain crest where we will have the view on the surrounding villages. Picnic lunch on the way and we will have enough time to meet the locals and their activities during our visit to each village. Dinner and overnight 

Half day walk to Antoetra, another opportunity to know more about Zafimaniry culture. On the way we can find tombs and some sacred place. We will reach Antoetra in mid-day. Get in the car and drive to Ranomafana for the rest of the day.  Diner and overnight.

Day dedicated to the discovery of the Ranomafana National Park. The forest is a shelter of lemurs, endemic birds, as well as reptiles and amphibians. It also has a great variety of flora where you can find orchids and epiphytes. After the visit of the park we continue the hike to the village, passing by the waterfall and then by the thermal pool. Dinner and overnight.

Drive up to Andringitra National Park to admire the landscape from another angle. We will go through Ambalavao where we can visit some silk workshops and Antemoro paper. Then we drive to the entrance of the park by car for 3 hours on a broken road. Installation in a cottage in the mountains. Dinner and Night

Beginning of the hike to Andriampotsy, first camp base. With a local guide and porters, we will climb the first step of the hike which is 6 hours of walking with a stop for a picnic. Once on the top, the rest of the walk for the day is on a flat trail. Dinner and overnight on camping.

Leave the campsite early in the morning to climb up to the second highest peak of Madagascar. Height of 2,658 m, this place gives us a panoramic view of the surroundings. With a clear sky, we can even have a chance to see a bit of the Indian Ocean. After enjoying the time close to heaven, walk down and continue to the next campsite. Dinner and overnight.

Descent to Morarano valley for about 3 hours. We will meet the car and the driver. Say goodbye to the local team and take a dirt road for about 1 hour to finally get out on the National. Pass the city of Ihosy and cross the plateaux of Ihorombe through the landscape of African savannah. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Dinner and overnight.

Day to start the hike in the Isalo National Park. The visit begins with the ascent of the canyon to the peak of the mountain to have a panoramic view of the Park and its surroundings. Let your imagination take you through the sandstone massif. Then a descent to Namaza canyon. Here, we may have a chance to see some lemurs. Dinner and overnight on camping.

Another day to discover another circuit, climb to the peak and walk in the shade of trees for the 5-hour hike to the natural pool while breathing in the fresh air of the park. At the end you can enjoy swimming pool until the picnic lunch is served.  If you have a chance Barbecue and fresh fruits will be on the menu. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Five hours drive to reach Ifaty by car passing through Ilakaka, the sapphire town. Here, we can have a short visit of the mine and also have a look at a showroom to see the local precious gems. Lunch stop at Tulear. Continue the drive to Ifaty in the afternoon. Installation at the hotel on arrival. Free afternoon on the beach. Dinner and overnight.

Day at leisure on the beach of Ifaty. Possibility to go for snorkeling, whale watching in July until September, diving. Local people and hotels also organize outdoor activities to visit the spiny forest with a zebu cart. Dinner and overnight.

Transfer to the airport of Tulear to take the flight back to Antananarivo. After 1 hour, land at the Ivato airport. Meet the driver and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Transfer to Antananarivo airport to catch the international flight. Possibility to stop en route to the craft market for souvenir shopping. END OF PROGRAM.
