Nature and discovery

Madagascar has many different places where one can admire nature with endemic fauna and flora that each national park offers. The country is among the top five richest countries in biodiversity with Brazil, Indonesia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Colombia. Lemurs are in the order of the most famous primates and have evolved on the big island for more than 80 million years, after the separation of Madagascar with the old continent of Gondwana. There are about 125 species currently listed, most of which are nocturnal. Also, nearly 80 species of chameleon are found in Madagascar and about 300 species of birds.
